MREA’s unique partnership with  Generation Ready, formerly Editure, is helping educators from member districts maximize their professional learning, focus on PLC’S  and make maximum use of their budgets. Generation Ready is a global leader in professional development specializing in student achievement through teacher effectiveness and professional development.

Generation Ready’s PD PRO and PD PRO Library offers online units of study with research-based best practices and tools that make professional learning interactive, collaborative and sustainable. The library provides over 230 topics, paced and structured to be used as single PD sessions or an in-depth study of a particular unit throughout the school year. MREA is “one school district” for Generation Ready and so all MREA member districts pay a flat $40 per teacher. That means a savings of $2,500 in the first year for a member district of 50 teachers.

Districts in the SW-WC Service Cooperative have an additional advantage in that SW-WC is a certified trainer in Editure, saving SW-WC members training costs. Training is required for adoption.  oth MREA and Editure want districts and teachers to benefit from having Editure, and training is necessary to get the benefits of the site.
