Jenny Maras Will Represent Rural Minnesota as National Candidate

Each year, MREA selects one of the four Educators of Excellence to nominate for the National Rural Teacher of the Year award, which is given by the National Rural Education Association.
“Jenny’s love and passion for education is obvious the moment you step inside her classroom,” says Bob Indihar, MREA Executive Director. “Her students rave about her teaching style and thrive on her personal connections with them. MREA is confident that Jenny will represent Greater Minnesota incredibly well as our national candidate.”
As the national candidate, Maras will represent MREA and Greater Minnesota by attending the National Rural Education Convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Maras will also be featured by MREA throughout the year and at the Greater Education Summit in November.
“I am absolutely honored to accept this invitation to represent Minnesota on a national scale. The rural education story is a special one. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of telling that story,” Maras said.
