In rural Minnesota, even where broadband access remains sparse, technology is still a driving force in educating today’s students.
MREA is working alongside the Blandin Foundation to address this. Blandin sponsors monthly webinars to provide rural Minnesota leaders with information to help transform their communities into tech savvy places to live, work and visit. Webinars are recorded and archived on the Blandin on Broadband blog.
Communities serious about attracting tourists, new businesses, entrepreneurs and young people must consider technology and Internet access as an essential amenity for community economic growth and vibrancy. The next webinar is Thursday, September 10 at 3 pm, on the topic, “USF Libraries and Schools.” Register now.
The November webinar will be November 12 from 3-4 pm on “Broadband Opportunity Council Federal Initiatives.” Register here.
The August 13 webinar, “Advocacy Groups — Who Are They?” discussed how to spur investment in next-generation broadband infrastructure while engaging communities to adopt next generation technology applications. View the webinar.
