Legislative Platform
The MREA Board of Directors and the advocacy team have identified key issues and recommended this platform as the focus for the 2022 Minnesota Legislative Session. Voting on the 2022 Legislative Platform, outlining issues and actions, is the primary action members will take at the meeting. Key issues include:
- Education Revenue to Support Strong Public Schools
- Education Innovation Support at the Local Level
- School Facilities Support for Rural Needs
2022 Board Candidates
Members at the Annual Meeting will also be introduced to candidates running for election to the 2022 Board of Directors. More than 20 individuals are vying for 8 open spots on the Board of Directors. Each of MREA’s four membership zones features at least one open position for terms beginning Jan. 1, 2022.
