The PrairieCare Child & Family Fund is now accepting proposals for funding to support mental health training and programming for local school district staff, professionals and students.
Eligible applicants may include public school districts, private schools, charter schools and other non-profit entities that have a primary purpose to support or provide educational services to youth in Minnesota.
Grants totaling over $80,000 were awarded in five Minnesota Districts in 2017. Recipients included both large metro-area and small rural school districts.
In 2018, the Fund plans to increase both the number and amount of grants awarded.
The Fund was created to help promote the awareness of mental health services, educating professionals, and creating opportunities for Minnesota communities to advance the delivery of health care services.
