Who’s Eligible?
Individuals must serve and contribute to rural Minnesota education. They do not need to work for an MREA member.
Who can nominate?
School staff, colleagues, students, parents or community members may submit nominations.
What’s the selection process?
The MREA Board of Directors review and judge the nominations based on the set criteria and select an honoree.

Distinguished Service Award
There are many leaders working behind the scenes and on the front lines to advocate for Greater Minnesota students and rural education.
Complete the form to nominate an individual who has provided distinguished service to rural Minnesota education.
Honorees will receive two complimentary tickets to the Awards Banquet in November.
