From Pine Point and Springfield, to Dover-Eyota and Brainerd, what are the compelling practices or programs at any level of education, from early childhood through adult education, across Great Minnesota? MREA wants to know.
MREA looks to its membership each year to identify their best practices and enter their accomplishments in MREA’s annual Profiles of Excellence awards program. Annually the association recognizes member programs that serve as an example of innovative educational opportunities for rural students.
If you have something working at the classroom, building, district or regional level from which other members can learn and improve their students’ education, nominate that program or practice by June 26. Review the entry criteria and share it with others in your district who have developed exemplary educational programs. Anyone can nominate a program or practice.
Deadline for entries is Friday, June 26, 2015. Entries will be judged by a panel of the Board of Directors, and winning programs will be formally announced in the fall. Award winners will be recognized at MREA’s Annual Conference Banquet on November 16 and featured on MREA’s website. View past recipients.
All nominees will also be invited to host a display table at the Annual Conference Gallery Walk on November 17.
Send your entry and supporting materials as an attachment to: mrea@mnrea.org. If you have any questions, please call the MREA office at (320) 762-6574. We look forward to receiving your entry.
