MREA encourages its members to participate in the School Climate Survey conducted by the Minnesota Department of Education. Complete the 20-question survey about school climate, the importance of school climate and the resources needed to work on school climate. The deadline is 5 pm on Feb. 13.
This web-based survey is anonymous and directed at superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, assistant principals and school climate coordinators.
The state’s School Safety Technical Assistance Center focuses its work on bullying prevention and intervention. Center leaders are interested in learning what resources and assistance schools need to develop and implement research-based school climate policies and practices.
The National School Climate Center — the leading school climate research, policy and practice center in the United States — developed the survey in conjunction with the School Safety Technical Assistance Center.
