Push Legislative Leaders For Results
Contact your legislators and request a special session.
As you’re aware by now the legislature adjourned the 2022 session leaving billions of dollars on the bottom line, $1 billion of which was slated to be infused into the E-12 system. While the education conference committee did not have a final agreement on how to allocate the $1 billion infusion, there was broad consensus that buying down the special education cross-subsidy was a good place to invest these funds.
Additionally, the agree-to Tax bill included major progress on the Ag2School bond credit (growing the credit from 70% to 85%), improved equalization for the Local Optional Revenue program and Educational Cooperative Facilities levy authority.
We need the legislature to agree to come back into a special session to finalize these bills and send them to the Governor.
We need your help to make that happen. Please contact your legislators today, urging them to get back to St. Paul and into a special session to pass these important bills.
Here are a few steps we encourage you to take:
-
Reach out to your own legislators through whatever medium you prefer (Twitter, facebook, email, phone). Find who represents you.
