Thirty Greater Minnesota school districts will receive new, one-time funding for school-based pre-kindergarten and School Readiness Plus programs. They are among 59 Minnesota school districts and charter schools that received the funding, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton announced Friday. (See list below).
The Minnesota Legislature established the new School Readiness Plus program in the 2017 session. This new funding will support 3,000 preschool students in Minnesota.
Another 152 school districts applied and did not receive the funding. View map of districts that received one-time funding for School Readiness Plus, ongoing Voluntary Pre-K Funding, and the districts that applied for either program and did not receive funding.
